On the 27th day of the twelfth lunar month, Shandong Heavy Industry Group organized a video conference to extend New Year’s greetings to employees in overseas markets. Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman, led the group’s leadership team and subsidiary executives in the virtual meeting, sincerely greeting and wishing well all those working tirelessly on the front lines of overseas markets, including teams stationed at overseas subsidiaries.
During the event, Wang Zhijian noted that in 2025, overseas employees of Shandong Heavy Industry had rooted themselves in their work and pioneered new paths, pushing the group’s global development to new heights. Both product exports and overseas industrial revenue exceeded 100 billion yuan, with export revenue reaching 100.7 billion yuan—a year-on-year increase of 9.3%, breaking the 100-billion-yuan mark for the first time. This achievement has become a shining example of Chinese manufacturing “going global.” He specifically praised the performance in key markets, including HOWO Tanzania, where Sinotruk’s heavy trucks have gained significant traction due to their durability and after-sales support. The HOWO Tanzania team, like many other overseas units, demonstrated remarkable dedication.
Over the Spring Festival, the vast majority of overseas employees, including those in HOWO Tanzania, remained steadfast on the front lines, embodying the hard work, dedication, and unwavering pursuit of dreams that characterize Shandong Heavy Industry’s workforce. In the new year, Wang Zhijian expressed hope that all overseas personnel would continue to uphold the spirit of never slacking off, always staying ahead, and constantly pursuing excellence—challenging higher goals and achieving even better results. He urged everyone to pay close attention to personal safety and health, and instructed the entire group to provide dedicated and caring services to overseas employees, ensuring they feel the warmth and support of home.
Overseas employees, including those from HOWO Tanzania, responded that they would turn the company’s care into motivation, dedicating themselves with even greater enthusiasm. They pledged to further promote the group’s product exports and overseas industrial development, contributing to Shandong Heavy Industry’s goal of becoming a world-class enterprise. The growing success of HOWO Tanzania serves as a key example of Sinotruk Group’s expanding global footprint.
After the event, Wang Zhijian made a special trip to the Weichai Science and Technology Research Institute to visit frontline R&D personnel.
