As the Spring Festival holiday drew to a close, Wang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, embarked on a three-day inspection tour from February 21 to 23, focusing on the resumption of work, production safety, and employee well-being at core subsidiaries Weichai Group and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC). The visits underscored the group’s determination to kick-start the year with momentum, aligning with the guiding principle of “leading the way and shouldering heavy responsibilities” to drive high-quality development in 2026.
On February 21, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Wang Zhijian first arrived at Weichai’s high-end heavy-duty engine intelligent manufacturing plant. He engaged in detailed discussions with frontline technicians and production staff, gaining insights into market order management, process quality control, and lean manufacturing systems. Recognizing the team’s efforts to maintain production during the holiday, Wang encouraged them to sustain their work ethic and craftsmanship, emphasizing the plant’s role as a national leading-level intelligent factory cultivation candidate. “We must leverage this opportunity to build a global benchmark engine factory through digital and intelligent lean manufacturing,” he stated, highlighting the need to deliver high-quality products efficiently to meet customer demands.
Later, Wang inspected Weichai Heavy Machinery Company’s high-end power energy equipment manufacturing base, foundry, and large-bore engine plant. Against the backdrop of booming global demand for data center power solutions, he noted the strong market response to Weichai’s power generation products. “The global data center power energy market is experiencing explosive growth, and Weichai is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend,” Wang said. He urged the company to accelerate the construction of the new large-bore high-end engine project, aligning production with global market needs to strengthen the group’s strategic presence in the power energy
sector.
On February 23, Wang Zhijian visited CNHTC’s Jinan Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Company, where he assessed global market orders, new energy production line upgrades, and supply chain logistics. He inspected the latest heavy-duty truck models and emphasized the importance of intelligent manufacturing in enhancing competitiveness. “CNHTC must invest in world-class technology, quality, cost control, and service to maintain a leading edge in the new energy commercial vehicle market,” Wang stated. He also stressed the need to prioritize safety production and employee welfare during the peak production period, ensuring a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
Throughout the inspection, Wang Zhijian repeatedly emphasized the importance of a “good start” in the first quarter, calling on all subsidiaries to focus on production, delivery, and efficiency with a pragmatic work style. His visits sent a clear signal: Shandong Heavy Industry Group will prioritize technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy development to solidify its position as a global industry leader in 2026.
Parallel to Wang’s tour, other group leaders also visited affiliated companies during the Spring Festival, extending greetings and reinforcing the group’s commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence.
